HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY. I’m a positive person, and there is hope, so I kept the “happy” in there — even though there’s a lot to be unhappy about this Fourth of July; mainly three things: our people’s loss of independence; our failure to understand what “independence” is; and — worst of all — our failure to even know who we are. Probably, we should rename this day “Lack-of-Independence Day.”
So many of our people don’t realize they lost their independence and freedom long, long ago.
The official celebration in my city is nothing but a rah-rah session for the regime’s military, with nary a mention of freedom, self-determination, or liberty.
