The Triumph of Beauty

“YOU HAVE lost your reason and taken the wrong path. You have taken lies for truth, and hideousness for beauty…. I don’t want to understand you.” So said the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov (pictured) more than a century ago. His statement applies even more to our age than his.

The inhuman concrete and glass rectangles that pass for architecture today are hideous, uglier than rat-mazes. They do to the spirit of European man what a ten-foot cage does to a timber wolf. There was a time when our best homes and public buildings expressed something about our souls. Though in dollar terms we were much poorer then, time and effort were spent and infinite care was taken so that our culture and our spirit shone through in every stone, every cornice, every column, every window. There was a time when beauty lived.

Changing America, part 3

WHAT ARE our goals? That is a fundamental question that must be answered by any people, any nation that intends to continue to exist on this planet. Without an answer to that question, even if we are the strongest and most intelligent and noblest life form ever to exist in the Universe, we will flounder, directionless, and drift to our doom, like an ocean liner without a crew and with all the passengers asleep, swept by winds and currents among the icebergs and rocky shores of the North Atlantic. Actually, our position as a people is very much worse than my metaphor suggests: We do drift, unaware, amidst dangers — but our metaphorical ocean liner is not crewless: It is manned by our implacable enemies, who are determined to send us to the bottom of the sea.

So — what are our goals? Today we are going to hear the clear and necessary answer to that question as I present to you Dr. William Pierce, the founder of the National Alliance in Changing America, part 3.

Changing America, part 2

WE SEE a changing America, an America that is changing for the worse. An America that is getting darker, more dangerous, more corrupt, more degenerate, and sicker with each passing year. We see an America that is no longer fit for our children to live in, an America in which our grandchildren may not even have a future. Dr. William Pierce, the founder of the organization behind this program, the National Alliance, saw these changes too — and developed a plan to save our race and make our children’s future brighter and greater than we ever imagined before.

“Changing America” is a phrase with a double meaning. Yes, we see a changing America all around us. But changing America is also what we need to do.

IN 2002 William Pierce created his first video production, entitled America is a Changing Country. The visual portion of the production was a bit amateurish and now looks quite dated — and we are seeking a video producer to re-make it to a much higher standard of impact and professionalism — but the audio content, Dr. Pierce’s actual words, are of high quality and permanent value. In this piece, William Pierce tells us how America has been changed for the worse by our enemies, why we are in a state of deep decline that may well prove fatal — and outlines for us the changes that we must make if we are to save ourselves. It is one of his most powerful speeches, and we will be presenting it to you today and over the next two weeks.

The Barren Land

TODAY I walked, as I do almost every day now, the mile or two to the local grocery store. And I noticed and experienced several things. I live in a suburban area on the outskirts of a nearly all-White city. I have to go through a lot of winding streets before I hit the main avenue where the stores are. So every day I get to see how people live, close up.

There aren’t many pedestrians like me these days. People blow by me in their monoxide-spewing cars by the dozen or half dozen every trip to the main drag, looking at me through the windshield as if I’m an anachronism, or a bug under glass, or just something they weren’t expecting to see. I notice that if I catch their eyes, they usually look away. On the rare occasions — especially in this cold weather — when I meet a fellow pedestrian, there’s at least a 50 per cent. chance he or she will just walk by, head down, without a word, even when I brightly say “hello” or “howdy.” It’s like I’m not even there.
